Bouzari Louise Bouzari – is a former high school and community college teacher. In addition to practicing education law for over 16 years, she also practiced commercial litigation at a national law firm as well as a large Denver-based firm. Ms. Bouzari is recognized as one of the top school law attorneys in the state of Colorado.  She handles education, discipline, and higher education cases, as well as disability discrimination cases under the ADA and Section 504. Education: The University of Texas (J.D. with honors, 1995; M.A., English, 1987; B.A. with honors, English, 1981). Kate GerlandKate Gerland – is an education attorney and the mother of two special needs children. She handles both special education and discipline cases, and has special expertise in restraint and seclusion as well as private placement issues. Ms. Gerland was the lead attorney in the landmark Elizabeth E v. Jefferson County School District case, in which the client won five straight victories from 2009-2013, from due process all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Ms. Gerland has worked as a Montessori teacher and has also taught law at the college level. Education: University of Colorado (J.D., 1994), Stanford University (B.A., Drama, 1990). Elena Eisenberg Veta

Steven Fritz

Steven Fritz – is an education law attorney and advocate. He handles education, special education, higher education, and discipline cases. Mr. Fritz began his legal career as a prosecutor in 2000 when he joined the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, the most respected prosecutor's office in the nation. During his ten years there, Mr. Fritz investigated and prosecuted serious felony cases, from violent street crime and domestic violence to complex financial crimes. In 2010, Mr. Fritz continued his career as a prosecutor at the Colorado Attorney General's Office, where he investigated and prosecuted criminal offenses related to insurance fraud. Mr. Fritz is a Member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, as well as the Colorado Council of Special Education Lawyers.
